EDEL is a Norwegian indie-soul-rock duo consisting of Vera Ottesen and Malin Stokka. Together, they compose, arrange, and write songs in English. The music is vocal-based and characterized by a unique dynamic interplay, featuring solid and eclectic harmonies. After their debut concert with the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra in March 2023, the girls have performed together with their band. In these performances, the duo blends their silky harmonies with the intensity of distorted guitars. 

After signing with the booking agency Distrikt in January 2024, EDEL aims to establish an even clearer profile in the Norwegian live music scene as an up-and-coming duo. With a distinct rhythmic expression and steady vocals, their live shows promise an experience not to be missed. 

The girls from the west of Norway initiated the duo while both studied in the music program at Stavanger Katedralskole. They later moved to Oslo in 2022 to pursue music full-time. Concurrent with concerts and gigs, they are both music students at Høyskolen Kristiania, formerly Westerdals, where they record their music. Collaborating with promising young producers, they have built a diverse repertoire that will unfold throughout 2024. The sound of EDEL captivates audiences with an emotive delivery that touches the heart and resonant lyrics. The duo is committed to challenging, evolving, and leaving their mark on the music scene beyond national borders.
